TMZ.com is reporting that Jay Leno will get the full one hour "Tonight Show" starting after the Olympics.

According to TMZ.com, "
As we first reported, under the contract Jay had been working under, he was guaranteed the 10 PM hour. By moving him to 11:35, NBC was in breach of his contract and needed to negotiate a new deal. That is now done, sources tell TMZ."
People magazine is reporting Conan's last night as host of the "The Tonight Show" will be next Friday, January 22nd.
A source told the publication, "
Conan does not currently plan on doing any more new shows after next week."
The show had already been planning a hiatus beginning Monday, January 25.
So Conan O'Brien is out, and Jay is restored.

I am personally a fan of both Conan and Leno, as well as NBC overall, but maybe people aren't watching the Jay Leno Show because they're tired of Jay Leno. I wonder if NBC ever considered that. They better brace for the impact of this decision.
Right now, NBC is saying this is not true, according to TV Guide (at link) http://www.tvguide.com/News/NBC-Rep-Leno-1013683.aspx
Wake me when it's over!
If you remember, NBC didn't confirm the Leno story either when it first came out. They just said the show wasn't canceled.
It's always in the wording, my friends.
I like them both also, but Leno always brought in more viewers to the Tonight Show than Conan did.
I think the move is smart and hopefully the 11 P.M. news gets more viewers also.
Jeff Zucker should be fired for this fiasco. I heard that he was Conan's bff from there college years and made the deal to move Conan into the Tonight Show slot 6 years ago. Conan is a good guy he should have never been given the slot in the first place. If he could not beat David Letterman then Houston there is a problem.
