The rundown is meant to give viewers a sneak peak ahead at what's coming up in our broadcast so they can be ready to pay more attention to the stories that matter most to them.
Also, we implemented the use of story titles at the bottom of the screen several months ago to give us the ability to provide more information about the stories we cover.
You'll see our new rundown feature on the right hand side of the screen. However, this will only be viewable for those who watch us on a 16x9 aspect ratio television. Those still watching in the 4x3 aspect ratio will not see any change.
If you not seen it yet, check out of the picture below as We Keep You Connected at Channel 3 News.

Like the "rundown". Any chance of a new opening lead-in, theme music? Something locally produced, not provided by Gannett?
The "rundown" runs backward of what it does on other channels. ESPN, for instance, the one that uses it the most, has the stories cascading "down" as stories are shown. Yours moves "up". So you really have a "runup", not a "rundown". This might be confusing to some, as you're the only ones I've seen that do it this way.
Good point. Gannett chose to call it the "rundown".
As to the music, we have changed our music from the Gannett libary and are now running some of the 615 music production elements for our shows.
Don't like it at all. Just one more thing to clutter the screen and diminish viewer attention span.
The continued degradation of television into an oversized computer screen.
Like the rundown, but you can't see it since you don't letterbox newscasts like CNN and FNC :-(
