On Monday March 16, HBO will debut a documentary, "Death on a Factory Farm" featuring undercover video taken at a Wayne County hog farm.WKYC investigated the issues raised in the undercover video in an award winning series of reports. The undercover video and the WKYC investigative pieces by reporter Bills Safos led to animal cruelty charges. The farmers were later acquitted of all but one charge.
Bill Safos' work on the series earned him a Genesis Award in 2008 from the National Humane Society of the United States in the Local Reporting category.
Video from the reports is part of the HBO documentary.
"Death on a Factory Farm" debuts at 10 p.m. on Monday, March 16.
